CAP 2 MATCH

CAP TO MATCH COLLARED SLEEP SACK

SIZE: 11-14 inches

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn 1 ounce

US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) 16 inch circular knitting needle
US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) double pointed needles to match
Tapestry needle
Marker

NOTES:

1. Read instructions through before beginning cap.

2. Change to double point needles when necessary.
3. Cap matches sleep sack here:

INSTRUCTIONS:
With 16 inch needle, cast on 48 sts. Join and work in the round.

Place marker to designate beginning of round.

Rounds 1-4: K1, P1. Repeat from * around. (48 sts)

Round 5-6: *K2, P2. Repeat from * around. (48 sts)

Round 7-8: *P2, K2. Repeat from * around. (48 sts)

Repeat rounds 5-8 until cap measures about 4.5 inches from cast on edge.

Begin decreases: Switch to double points when necessary.

Dec Round 1: *K6, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (42 sts)

Dec Round 2: *K. Repeat from * around. (42 sts)

Dec Round 3: *K5, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (36 sts)

Dec Round 4: *K4, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (30 sts)

Dec Round 5: *K3, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (24 sts)

Dec Round 6: *K2, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (18 sts)

Dec Round 7: *K1, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (12 sts)

Dec Round 8: *K2tog. Repeat from * around. (6 sts)

Cut yarn, weave end through remaining 6 sts. Draw tight and weave in end.
