Dear Suzie:

I have been enjoying your blog and recommending it to all my friends who knit and crochet. I have made and donated quite a few hats and scarves from your patterns as well. Thanks so much for sharing. I always look forward to your new patterns. Yours, Begonia

Hi
My name is Teresa and I need to know what it means in Round 1 where in the brackets it says ( do not count as first DC from now on )
I have no idea what it means not only in this pattern- which I love or the instructions like this in brackets in other patterns usually at the beginning.
What effect does this instruction have on this or other patterns. I hope you can understand my question and help me.

Thank You
Teresa

It just means that the chains aren't counted as a double crochet. Some patterns it does count in this one it does not.
