INSTRUCTIONS:
With 16 inch needle, cast on 48 sts. Join and work in the round.

Ribbon, 3 pieces 27 inches each
GAUGE:
Approximately 16 sts = 4 inches
NOTES:
- Read instructions all the way through before beginning cap.
- When you tie the ribbons either tie in knots or use a needle and matching thread to sew through the knot of the bow so they don’t come untied.
INSTRUCTIONS:
With 16 inch needle, cast on 60 sts. Join and place marker to denote beginning of round.
Knit until cap measures about 2 inches from cast on edge. (60 sts)
Next round: *K4, yo, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (60 sts)
Next 6 rounds: Knit. (60 sts)
Next round: K1, yo, K2tog. *K4, yo, K2tog. Repeat from * around. End with K3. (60 sts)

COZY IN CABLES CAP

Round 5: *C4B, P2. Repeat from * around to marker. (84 sts)

DRAWSTRING:
Leaving a 5 inch tail, using an I hook chain 90 (100). Slipstitch in the back bump of the 2nd chain from hook and each remaining chain. Fasten off leaving a 5 inch tail.
Cut two 10 inch lengths of yarn, fold in half, pull loop through the end of the drawstring with the tails. Pull all the ends through the loop and pull tight forming a tassel.
Cut three 10 inch lengths of yarn, fold in half, pull loops through the opposite end of the drawstring and pull tight.
Weave drawstring in and out of the eyelets. Pull to close and tie bow.
FINISHING:
Weave in any remaining ends.
Pull the ribbon through the ribbing at the join and tie a bow. I like to use a needle and thread to sew a couple stitches through the bow so it doesn’t come untied.

SIZES: Medium 19 (Large 21) inches
NOTES:

SPECIAL STITCHES:
Hdc = half double crochet
Fbhdc = Front post Half double crochet
Bphdc = Back post half double crochet
INSTRUCTIONS:
Round 1: Ch 3, (do not count as first dc) 9 hdc in the 3rd ch from hook. Join with a slipstitch in first hdc. (9 sts)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st. Join with a slipstitch in first hdc. (18 sts)
Round 3: Ch 2, *hdc in 1 st, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first hdc. (27 sts)
Round 4: Ch 2, *hdc in 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from * around. Join with a slipstitch in first hdc. (36 sts)

BACK PETALS:
Ch 4, join with a slip stitch to the first chain to form a ring
Round 1: Ch 1, *sc in the ring, ch 3. Repeat from * five times. Join with a slipstitch in the first sc.
Round 2: Slipstitch in ch 3 space, ch 1, sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc. *Sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc in next ch 3 space. Repeat from * four times. Join with a slipstitch in the first sc.
Fasten off leaving a tail long enough to sew flower to item.
Attach yarn with a sc in any sp between petals. (Ch 3, sc in side of sc, ch 3, sc in same sp). * Ch 3, sc in next sp, (ch 3, sc in side of sc, ch 3, sc in same sp). Repeat from * around. End with ch 3, fasten off and use the tapestry needle to join in the first sc.
