MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight yarn, approximately .5 ounce
I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
Small Ouchless (no metal) ponytail elastic, 1.25 (or 1.50) inch diameter
Tapestry needle
NOTES:
1. Read instructions all the way though before beginning.
2. If you want to use the longer elastic sc the number of stitches to cover the elastic, don’t stretch the elastic as you work over it.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Round 1: Attach yarn around elastic with a sc, 17 (23) sc around elastic. Join in first sc with a slipstitch. (18 or 24 sts)
Round 2: (Ch 9, slipstitch in same st as join), 2 times. *Ch 9, slipstitch in next st, (Ch 9 slipstitch in same st) 2 times. Repeat from * around. End with ch 9, DO NOT join, fasten off and use your tapestry needle to bring tail through the join from round 1.
With beginning and ending tails tie a tight knot and weave in ends.
