MY BEADED PLAYING CARD CASE (C)

I'm giving playing cards as a gift to friend who's a card playing maniac and wanted something different for her to store them. So crocheted this little case.

Then I thought, for Valentine's Day this little case is just the right size for a box of Conversation Hearts. There are probably other candies that would fit as well.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn approximately 1 oz
33 pony beads
I crochet hook
Yarn needle
5/8 inch button

NOTES:
1. Read instructions through before beginning.
2. When working in rounds, without joining, mark the start of each round with a marker. A bobby pin is a good marker. I don’t usually use a marker, I just judge it by the tail left over after crocheting round 1.
3. PB = place bead. This You Tube video is very good at showing how to place beads in single crochet:

Comments:
Great design! I will be making a few of these that can be used for many things. Thanks for sharing!

I have a Knit version pattern (minus beads) on my blog that I worked up a little while ago.

I really should learn how to work beads into my yarns - I've got plenty of them...
