FINISHING:
Insert bottle cap in base. Stuff the bottle cap with Polyfil. Easy way to do this is to roll the Polyfil onto a ball between the palms of your hands. Stuff the flower center with Polyfil. The center should be firm but not hard. Put a line of hot glue around the rim of the bottle cap and on the base of the petals. Quickly press the flower center in place and hold firmly until the glue has cooled. If there are any gaps between the petals and the center, put a little hot glue on a toothpick and reglue the petals and center.
To make a wrist pin cushion cut a strip of elastic to fit comfortably around wrist. Overlap ends by ½ inch and sew. Either sew or hot glue pincushion to elastic.
To make a magnetic pincushion glue a round flat magnet to the bottom of the base. Be careful where you place the magnet as some surfaces are sensitive to magnets, like computerized sewing machines.
