DYEING AND OTHER STUFF
Thought I'd share what I've been up to this week.I dyed several skeins of Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool for felting and CIC projects.
This orange and pink is in process of becoming a hat. Hopefully I'll get off the computer and finish knitting it tonight, so I can felt it tomorrow.

I felted a hat this week.

Crocheted a couple baby blankets.

And knit a vest for CIC.

I love the vest, is it for a child or an adult. I lke simple patterns and wild yarn. I live in Ca. and enjoy both kintting and crochet. Would like to know where you got the pattern for the vest if possible. You are very talented-love the way you use color.

That is a child's vest. I used this pattern: http://margarethubertoriginals.com/newpage1.htm
I cast on 6 more stitches on the sleeve and worked it for only 1". Then cast on 3 less stitches for each side of the body. Since this vest is rather short through the body I probably won't decrease the body stitches next time. I knit a size 2, and it used about 3 ounces of worsted weight yarn.

Hi Suzetta,
I would love to dye some of the Lion's Brand Fisherman yarn as well. I bought it along with some kool-aid packets to try my hand at hand-dyeing. However, I wasnt' sure that it would be colorsafe when I felt the project. How do you do your dye process? Do you use kool-aid as well? Could you e-mail me? Would love to get started with it since my kids are off this week from school and we could make it a fun project together. Thank you for the free patterns too! Love reading all your stuff!

I love visiting your blog and seeing your projects. I have been trying to make up my mind about making a babygan to match a set I have finished after seeing yours . I got to start one tonight :) Loved the hat.
