Bless your heart for sharing patterns. I have just now found your blog, I am very interested in the baby diaper covers, lately they have been called Soakers or the shorties are really cute, I also saw your instructions on felting the hat, I would like to felt diaper soakers and am having a problem with what kind of yarn, I love your pattern http://suzies-yarnie-stuff.blogspot.com/2010/04/suzies-girly-diaper-cover.html
My problem is my yarn is so very thick that I think felting it would turn it into board like material. I have no clue as to how to adjust patterns, My 12 month old grandbaby would really like me to get this right, do you have any suggestions? I used Alpine wool Lion brand #5 and red heart full of sheep #4 and Patons classic wool #4 all with the same results seems way too thick :-(
#g hook, very similar to your pattern , I crochet only thanks for any responce,

Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool can be felted so that it isn't stiff. I've had problems with it not being stiff enough for a few projects.
I was looking for a golf club cover patter when I ran across this post. I've seen "charity projects" for hats for deployed troops. It never occurred to me something like this was needed. What an awesome idea! Thank you so much for posting!!!
How do I make a stump cover for arm just above elbow ? I would like to make one for my brother in law.
I suggest measuring the circumference of the arm where the top of the cover should be. Then using the measurements on these patterns to increase to a number that should fit comfortably.
48 stitches might be about right. Any increment divisible by two is okay.
If you knit I would use that pattern as it is stretchier.

Thank you for the amputee stump cover crochet pattern. I have made over 2 dozen already for veterans through the American Legion. They are so appreciated.. you are appreciated for sharing this pattern.
I am looking for a pattern for a felted stump cover for a leg amputated above the knee, either knit or crochet. I am so glad I found your patterns.

Thank you for this pattern! I'm a new-again crocheter and my amputee son just asked for one of these. I follow YouTube videos mostly... ill go see if you've done one. (Hope, hope)
SC gives a better base for starting the front and back post ribbing. But if you want DC should work too.
Thank for these patterns ππ»ππ»ππ». I am on my 6th one for homeless who have lost limbs due to frostbite. ππ»ππ»ππ»
