JUNE - GO GREEN MARKET BAG
GO GREEN MARKET BAG
Paper or plastic? The answer is neither, GO GREEN by crocheting a reusable market bag. Would also make a great beach bag. What other uses can you think of? Instructions are included for over the shoulder straps, or a shorter version for over the arm.
1. Read instructions all the way through before beginning.
2. Treble Crochet V stitch = treble, chain 1, treble (tr, ch 1, tr)
3. When working the joining slipstitch pull the stitch tight. That way you won’t be tempted to work into it next time around.
4. If your gauge is larger than stated, 5 ounces may not be enough to finish bag. So make your first one out of a 7 ounce skein.
5. Be sure to change to the H hook for working rounds 16-21, this gives your bag a stable top.
6. You can make the Go Green Market Bag without the CD, it will be less structured if you choose to leave it out.
Worsted weight yarn, approximately 5 oz.

Thanks for a great idea!
thanks for posting your directions.
I have made up a few by just messing around myself...
I love your choice of colors !
Keep 'em coming .
Also, I have fit 6 2liter sodas,an 8lb bag of chicken and other stuff in the spaces btwn the neck of the soda bottles.
I prefer the long handles.
I'm making this for a Crochetville swap partner!
Thanks for an easy and earth-friendly idea!
If there are any errors or ambiguities I appreciate people letting me know so I can fix them.
It uses about twice as much yarn, so twice as long as the beanie?
Feel free to stop by and grab a button to show that you have been featured.
Or if you are behind the times like me listen to audiobooks on with a CD player.

As far as cheaper cotton the cones from Wal-Mart are more reasonably priced than any place I know of.
