MY SEPTEMBER SCARF–DRESS BLUES (k)

SIZE:
5 X 46 inches excluding fringe

MATERIALS:
Lion Brand Incredible 2 balls (see note)
US 15 (10.0 mm) needles

Cast on 17 stitches, leaving an 8 inch tail to be included in the fringe.

Rows 1-6: Knit
Row 7: K 1, *k2tog, yo, repeat from * to last 2 st, k 2.
Rows 8-10: Knit
Repeat rows 7-10 eleven (11) times. Length should be about 14 inches.

Knit every row until scarf measures 31 inches from cast on edge.

Repeat rows 7-10 twelve (12) times.

Knit 3 rows. Bind off loosely and fasten off leaving an 8 inch tail.

FRINGE:
Cut 34 16 inch pieces of yarn for fringe. Fold a strip of yarn in half and with a crochet hook pull loop through a bound off stitch. Pull tails through loop and pull snug. (Pull the beginning and ending tail through the closest fringe knot.) Repeat for each cast on and bound of stitch. Trim fringe evenly.



Note: If you don't add fringe there is enough Incredible in 3 balls to knit 2 scarves.
