DOUBLE PLAY

DOUBLE PLAY

MATERIALS:
2 Balls Lion Boucle
1 Ball Lion Brand Homespun
Size 19 (15.0 mm) needles

SIZE: 7 X 56 inches

GAUGE: Unimportant

NOTES:
1. First of all, calling this a pattern is a stretch. It is just plain knit every row. It is the combination of the two yarns that makes it special.
2. Lion Boucle is a color rich mohair blend (20% mohair). This scarf can also be worked with two strands of Homespun. Side by side the Boucle and Homespun are nearly identical.
3. You will need to use both balls of the Lion Boucle, but only about two thirds of the Homespun.
4. Weaving in the ends and making them stay put can be a challenge. Just between friends: I use a toothpick and put just the tiniest bit of Aleene’s Ok to Wash It, on the yarn and pull that bit under a stitch.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Start by tying a knot in the very end of both yarns. These yarns both want to untwist.

Holding one strand of each yarn together cast on 12 stitches
Knit every row until there are only about 24 inches remaining of the second ball of the Lion Boucle.

Bind off and weave in ends.

this looks inviting, I may try that after i look for a warm jacket, try match it a bit.

My scarf, very old, is comfy, is in off white and a seed stitch, done on 15? 19? 2 strand, so is similar.
i made it narrow as I want less 'chokie' feeling at the throat.
it loOks it's age, but I have not liked another scarf this muccccccch, so there you have ittt. Fit in and I keep you forever!
bet, THANX FOR THIS SITE, AM GLAD i FOUND IT.
