SUZIE'S SNOOD
Thank you Jo NY for testing the pattern and providing the photo.
SUZIE’S SNOOD
Snood maybe worn low as in the photo or high across like a headband. The length of the elastic or ribbon should be adjusted accordingly.
MATERIALS:
Size 10 cotton thread less than 350 yards

One of the following: 54 inches of ¼ inch ribbon or about 24 inches of ¼ inch elastic

Hi Suzie, What is the lengtht of this snood? I am looking to make one for my daughter's wedding and want it to be like a 40's or 50's style. Is the length of the 18 rows long enough? Thank you for your pattern.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I don't remember how large it is, but it can be worn higher on the head like a 40s style snood. If you need help with instructions for a few more rounds let me know.
ReplyDeleteI know this is an old post, but am I correct in assuming that if I need this to be bigger, I would just continue as in previous rounds before working round 18, so that each repeat would be *ch 3, tr in next space, x+1 times, ch 3, tr, ch 3, tr in next sp*?
ReplyDeleteYes that will work.
ReplyDeleteSuzetta,
ReplyDeletePlease add a pintrest option!
Please make a video tutorial for your pattern on YouTube. I'm a much better visual learner, thank you Ma'am
ReplyDeleteI don't go videos.
ReplyDeleteRound 1: Ch 6 (counts as 1 tr and ch 2), tr in ring. *ch 2, tr. Repeat from * 9 times. Ch 2, join with a slipstitch in 4th ch of ch 6. (12 tr) Correct me if I am wrong but this makes it (11 tr Not 12 Ch 6+ *ch 2, tr.= 2 + *ch 2, tr.x9= 11 not 12)

ReplyDeleteRound 1: Ch 6 (counts as 1 tr that's one
and ch 2), tr in ring. That's two
*ch 2, tr. That's three
Repeat from * 9 times. That's 9
Ch 2, join with a slipstitch in 4th ch of ch 6. (12 tr)
Enjoyed this pattern. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI’m stuck on round 3. I don’t understand the instructions “*Ch 3, tr in next sp, 5 times, tr, ch 3, tr in next sp. Repeat from * around. End with ch 3, tr in last 5 sp.” If I repeat the treble 5 times I will have more than 21 treble at the end.
ReplyDeleteYou are making three increases.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I have been looking for just this type of snood pattern for a few weeks now. This one looks exactly like what I am looking for.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this awesome pattern! I just have one silly question: are the instructions written in U.S. terms or U.K. terms..?
ReplyDeleteUS terms.
