MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight yarn
Hook Size K
Pattern is worked holding two strands together
Round 1: Ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with slipstitch in ch 4. Do not turn at the end of the round.
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as slipstitch. 2 dc in each dc around. Join with slipstitch in first ch 3. [24 dc]
Round 3: Ch 3, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st. Repeat from * around ending with 2 dc in last st. Join with slipstitch in first ch 3. [36 dc].
Round 4: This round ONLY, work in back loop only. Ch 3, dc in blo of each dc around. Join with slipstitch around the ch 3 as if to front post. [36 dc]
Round 5: Ch 3, fpdc around next 2 sts, *bpdc around next 3 sts, fpdc around next 3 sts. Repeat from *around. Ending with bpdc in last 3 sts. Join with slipstitch around the ch 3 as if to front post. [36 sts]
Round-6: Ch 3, fpdc around next 2 sts, *bpdc around next 3 sts, fpdc around next 3 sts. Repeat from *around. Ending with bpdc around last 3 sts. Join with slipstitch around the ch 3 as if to back post. [36 sts]
Round 7: Ch 3, bpdc around next 2 sts, *fpdc around next 3 sts, bpdc around next 3 sts. Repeat from *around. Ending with fpdc around last 3 sts. Join with slipstitch around the ch 3 as if to back post. [36 sts]
Round-8: Ch 3, bpdc around next 2 sts, *fpdc around next 3 sts, bpdc around next 3 sts. Repeat from *around. Ending with fpdc around last 3 sts. Join with slipstitch around the ch 3 as if to front post. [36 sts]

Round 11: Slipstitch in each post stitch around.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
I have crocheted for 47 years and I have never seen a stitch code of fpdc or bpdc. Please omeone translate for me.

I just finished this pattern. I found it to be too short. I added one more row. Then,on the last row, I changed from my original color (cream) to dark brown. I also trimmed the loops at the top with slip stitches in brown. This made it fit perfectly on a roll of scotts toilet paper. Thanks for the pattern!
