ReplyDeleteThanks for the pattern, My 18 month old daughter will love it.
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern. I worked it up in about 2 hours, and my two daughters fought over it! So now I have to make another one!! Thanks for the great pattern.
ReplyDeleteIn row 8 you say "dc in next 9 dc." I'm assuming you meant "dc in next 9 sc" since the previous row was done in sc. I just thought I'd point that out.
ReplyDeletethis hat is too sweet! I am making it for my daughter and nieces!! They will love it!!
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing it.

This hat is so cute, but I just can't seem to get it to turn out right... it is very bunched up & lumpy. The butterfly stiches are perfect, but the spaces inbetween is where it gets lumpy. Any thoughts on what Im doing wrong?
ReplyDeleteSometimes a cap just needs a head to look right.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute hat. I'm going visiting tonight and realised that I didn't have gifts for the youngest 2 children so looked online, found this pattern and 2 hours later had 2 really sweet hats. One in pink and one in lilac
ReplyDeletei fall in love with this hat , may first time making it ,i just started today ,u should make a video so we could follow ur steps that would be awesome !!!!! thx a lot
ReplyDeleteI am trying to make this as a chemo cap for my mom who is fighting breast cancer. I am stumped on round 6. Does the tr in round 6 refer to a treble crochet? That's the only stitch I know with tr and it doesn't seem right? Please advise if possible. Thanks so much.Cindy
ReplyDeleteYes the tr is treble.
ReplyDeleteGreat hat. It would be nice to have a video tutorial, since others want to learn, but aren't that great with "crocheting terms". My daughters would love to learn... I just have enough time to walk them through it.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't do video.
ReplyDeleteHi do you have a way to turn this into a scarf? My mom loves butterflies and I would love to make a matching set for her. Thank-you!

ReplyDeleteThat's the matching scarf.
Have used this pattern sooo many x I modified for 8 and now started with 6 increased to 12 butterflies. Wish I could include pictures. I've recommended in crochet clucs on Facebook too. A big thanks for a lovely pattern. ♡♡♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteHow do I print this pattern
ReplyDeleteAt the top you will see you need to copy into your choice of program to print. Myself I use MS Word.
ReplyDeleteTried using this to make a cap for my mother-in-law. Didn't fit. How can I make this bigger for her head?
ReplyDeleteYou could use one of the heavier worsted weight (4) yarns like Caron One Pound. Then use an I (5.5 mm) hook. Another thing you can work an extra round of double crochet before doing the sc.
ReplyDeleteI just finished this. It looks awesome. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI’m having trouble with this:
